Job Description

Account Executive selling energy efficiency, weatherization, and water-saving solutions to utilities. Managing accounts, developing business, leading RFPs, and achieving sales quotas.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with utilities and energy efficiency program implementers
  • Ensure alignment with client goals and successful delivery of program objectives
  • Achieve predetermined KPIs for assigned accounts and drive portfolio growth
  • Lead new business development for assigned accounts
  • Serve as primary lead on RFPs for assigned accounts
  • Build a robust sales pipeline for current and future years
  • Source and develop new customers through outbound calls, electronic communications, in-person follow-up, and trade shows
  • Develop and present sales proposals and quotes
  • Maintain and expand prospects in the CRM with accurate information and forecasts
  • Attend industry conferences to develop expertise and build the client network
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and prospecting activity goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service and program performance

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience required
  • B2B sales experience in the energy efficiency or building product industry preferred
  • Experience with contractors, community action agencies, and utility rebate programs a plus
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize varied work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in multiple development environments and willing to learn newly acquired knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • NetSuite, Salesforce, or other ERP/CRM experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
