Job Description
Account Manager managing Netherlands and Flanders accounts for Phenomenex, a life-science analytical chemistry solutions company. Providing chromatography expertise, technical support, demonstrations, and sales growth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage a specific territory of key accounts by providing advanced service and technical support to customers
- Coordinate customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstrations and/or technical seminars
- Attend local vendor shows and company-sponsored trade shows
- Build account relationships beyond the buying level to ensure involvement of key decision makers with new and existing customers
- Ensure assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals
- Work with the Sales Manager to develop business plans and sales strategies for key accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a resource for colleagues, including coaching, mentoring, and training
- Report to the District Sales Manager as part of the Phenomenex Benelux team
- Work remotely from home to cover customers in the Netherlands and Flanders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other related Science required
- Ability to analyze, facilitate dialogue across a group or team, communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a new or different point of view
- Ability to strategically plan, organize, and allocate resources to meet the needs of the business
- Advanced knowledge of sales principles and methods of negotiation
- Demonstrated advanced capability to identify business opportunities
- Good knowledge of Chromatography
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% based on the needs of the territory
- Must have a valid driver’s license
