Job Description
AbbVie Account Manager developing migraine and neurology medicine adoption across Oslo’s Norwegian GP market. Managing territory strategy, customer relationships and field-based engagement with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop AbbVie’s presence within neurology and migraine in Norwegian general practice
- Take dedicated responsibility for the Norwegian GP market in the Oslo region
- Ensure AbbVie’s migraine messages and knowledge reach relevant healthcare professionals
- Identify, prioritise and develop relevant customers and customer segments within general practice
- Strategically prioritise areas, practices and customers for physical and digital follow-up
- Plan and execute commercial activities within the assigned territory
- Conduct extensive fieldwork, relationship building and targeted dialogue with GPs and other healthcare professionals
- Engage customers through digital channels and meetings
- Collaborate with Account Managers covering hospitals, private-practice neurologists and other specialists
- Contribute to a consistent customer and patient journey across different levels of care
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the cross-functional In-Field Team and other key functions
Requirements:
- Relevant higher education within healthcare, pharmacy, life sciences, business or a related field
- Experience in sales, customer management, account management or business development from the pharmaceutical industry
- Documented knowledge of and experience working with GPs and general practice in the relevant geographic area
- Good understanding of the Norwegian primary healthcare system, including the GP scheme, decision-making processes and relevant stakeholders
- Ability to analyse and prioritise territories, customers and activities based on commercial potential and available resources
- Experience planning and conducting customer activities both in person and through digital channels
- Fluency in Norwegian and a command of English
- Interest in, or experience with, neurology, migraine or another relevant therapeutic area is advantageous but not essential
- Certification as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, or equivalent relevant qualifications
- Valid Category B driving licence
- Ability to undertake extensive travel, primarily within the geographic area of responsibility
- Strong local knowledge and geographic flexibility
