Job Description

Account Manager managing self-funded group health plans for Allied Benefit Systems. Supporting clients, brokers, renewals, compliance, reporting, and benefit-plan presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assigned book of Allied clients with self-funded group health plans
  • Serve as the day-to-day resource for clients and brokers
  • Act as liaison between employers, brokers, Client Executives, and Allied departments
  • Prepare and submit reporting for key accounts
  • Implement benefit plan changes
  • Conduct client presentations and review plan performance
  • Communicate industry, legislative, and ACA compliance updates
  • Manage and resolve escalated employee issues
  • Conduct quarterly meetings to review plan performance and build client relationships
  • Communicate internal changes regarding plan design, financial information, and vendor partners
  • Prepare and host employee presentations, employer portal training, and executive summary report reviews
  • Troubleshoot and improve internal processes
  • Produce and analyze ad hoc reports
  • Facilitate renewals by managing claims, updating plan documents, and project-managing open enrollment
  • Cross-sell Allied solutions to existing clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience required
  • At least three years’ experience in an account management role required
  • Excellent working knowledge of employee medical benefit plans required
  • Experience with group health insurance and self funded health plans preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint software applications
  • Public speaking and an ability to present benefits and compliance
  • Organized
  • Life and Health Insurance Producers license preferred
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 100Mbps download/25Mbps upload
