Job Description
Account Manager managing group insurance client deliverables, plan analysis, and renewals for Brown & Brown. Advising clients and Account Executives through recommendations, audits, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage assigned client service deliverables and contribute to client strategy through analysis, recommendations, and execution.
- Collaborate with Senior Account Managers and Account Managers to execute strategy deliverables for assigned client accounts.
- Maintain internal client documentation, own tasks and deliverables, respond to client inquiries, and maintain project plans.
- Prepare RFPs and RFIs, coordinate insurance carrier proposals, prepare Executive Summaries, monitor timelines, and participate in implementation.
- Maintain current and historical plan designs, process maps, rates, plan documents, and client information in the client database.
- Perform certificate and contract reviews, plan design analyses, and benchmarking.
- Participate in client claim audits, perform audit criteria, summarize results, and provide insights, analysis, and recommendations.
- Identify, assess, resolve, and escalate issues as needed.
- Build relationships with Account Executives, Senior Account Managers, clients, and insurance carriers.
- Advise clients on insurance plans, evaluate plan options, interpret data and market benchmarks, and develop recommendations.
- Coordinate resources to resolve client issues and exercise independent judgment in prioritizing needs and determining solutions.
- Attend client meetings and provide consultation.
- Apply group insurance expertise to assist clients with plan questions and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role at a comparable level in Group Insurance.
- High level of knowledge about short term disability, long term disability, leave programs, life insurance, AD&D, voluntary benefits, dental and vision.
- High level of technical knowledge in contracts, plan design, claim processes, and vendor capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual working environment.
- Detail-oriented with highly developed organizational skills; ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage strict deadlines and turnaround requirements.
- Ability to establish credibility with organizational stakeholders and clients through confident, integrity-based communication and actions.
- Proactive/action-oriented approach with ownership of tasks and next steps.
- Must be actively licensed (Life, Accident, and Health License) or willing to obtain the license in the state of residence within the first 6 months of employment.
- Experience with Salesforce preferred.
