Job Description
Appointment Setter converting warm leads into qualified sales meetings for technical performance marketing agency In Marketing We Trust. Researching prospects, capturing sales intelligence, and managing CRM handovers.
Responsibilities:
- Contact warm and qualified leads provided by the Marketing team
- Conduct approximately 5–10 high-quality calls per week
- Understand prospects’ situations, priorities, and business needs
- Identify current or future commercial opportunities
- Book qualified follow-up meetings with senior commercial leads
- Explain the purpose and value of follow-up conversations to prospects
- Gather sales intelligence about needs, timing, buying windows, decision-makers, stakeholders, suppliers, and potential Talent Acquisition support
- Research each lead, company, contact, and relevant context before making contact
- Review previous Marketing or sales interactions
- Prioritise leads based on quality, relevance, and opportunity
- Tailor outreach to each prospect
- Send approved follow-up materials
- Maintain accurate CRM and/or Notion records
- Record call outcomes, qualification details, next steps, and sales intelligence
- Flag warm or time-sensitive opportunities for prompt handover
- Provide sufficient context for senior commercial leads
- Provide feedback to Marketing about lead quality and market response
- Report to the Marketing Manager
Requirements:
- Australia-only applicants within the targeted time zones/locations
- Confidence and professionalism on the phone
- Familiarity with digital marketing products and services, including SEO, Paid Media, and Marketing Analytics
- Experience in appointment setting, telesales, business development, recruitment, lead qualification, or a similar role
- Ability to build rapport quickly without sounding overly scripted or sales-driven
- Comfortable speaking with senior business stakeholders
- Ability to ask good questions and listen carefully for commercial opportunities
- Ability to distinguish genuine buying signals from low-intent interest
- Organised and disciplined about follow-up
- Ability to write clear, concise notes useful to another salesperson
- Comfortable working independently with a relatively small lead pool
- Understanding that high-quality conversations are more valuable than high-volume calls
