Job Description
Sales leader managing clinical sales teams in the cardiovascular space at Johnson & Johnson. Driving growth and strategy execution across Virginia and West Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
- Set sales targets and forecasts
- Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance.
- Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts
- Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
- Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
- Collaborate with functional departments of the company, specifically but not limited to Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs
- Liaise with Marketing and Professional Education to further develop value added strategies, tools, programs and services
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience medical device cardiovascular space
- 7+ years of management experience of a field commercial team
- Bachelors or advanced degree required; MBA Preferred
- Proven track record of success in managing a growing sales organization
- Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members
- Ability to negotiate and influence senior level leaders & KOLs within the Virginia/West Virginia region
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Working knowledge of SAP desired
- Ability to travel up to 60%
