Job Description

Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect responsible for designing and implementing cloud architectures. Collaborating with clients to optimize AWS solutions across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost‑effective AWS architectures for client engagements
  • Drive the design and delivery of end-to-end AWS cloud architectures across client engagements
  • Collaborate remotely with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to define requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend AWS services, tools, and frameworks to optimize performance
  • Develop high-quality architectural deliverables, including solution designs and technical documentation
  • Define and guide cloud migration strategies based on client needs
  • Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Enable DevOps and CI/CD best practices
  • Conduct architecture reviews, security assessments, and performance optimization initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to client and partner teams

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, software engineering, or distributed systems
  • Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is required
  • Strong, hands on experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
  • Deep architectural expertise across AWS service domains including compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, observability, containers, and serverless
  • Practical experience designing and delivering containerized (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) and serverless solutions
  • Strong understanding of AWS security and networking best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for producing architecture diagrams and technical documentation
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working as an independent contractor in a remote, client facing environment.
