Job Description

Business Development Analyst supporting strategic business development initiatives for DCG. Conducting market research, proposal development, and client qualifications with a focus on federal government contracting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, potential clients, and new markets, and compile research findings into clear, actionable reports and briefings.
  • Monitor news, federal procurement forecasts, and policy changes relevant to target markets.
  • Track and update opportunities throughout the business development lifecycle leveraging DCG’s CRM.
  • Leverage AI technologies and best practices to streamline business development processes and create efficiencies within the organization.
  • Assist in pursuit qualification activities, including gathering client intel and assessing fit.
  • Work closely with Capture Managers, Proposal Managers and SMEs to help prepare briefing materials for leadership, including gate reviews and pursuit packages.
  • Support the coordination of meetings, call notes, follow-ups, and next steps.
  • Support proposal planning including but not limited to responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other related content.
  • Assist in preparing proposal materials such as resumes, past performance write-ups, and formatting and help coordinate internal reviews, deadlines, and submission processes.
  • Contribute writing for non-technical sections under guidance from senior team members.
  • Support the proposal development process (analyzing requirements, establishing a schedule, kick-off meetings and color team reviews, developing a compliance matrix, template generation, final review and submission)
  • Ensure consistency with DCG's brand message, style standards, value proposition, and business objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned to support proposal production against established deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, consulting, communications, proposal support or a related domain
  • Knowledge of or direct experience with federal government contracting
  • Familiarity with proposal development best practices, such as Shipley training or APMP (course completions or certifications preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) skills, including using and maintaining Word templates
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF development/editing
  • Ability to work independently, adjust to shifting priorities, and turn around projects on short timelines
  • Excellent organization, communication, and project planning skills, with sharp attention to detail, accuracy and quality, especially on time-sensitive projects
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing time and prioritizing workload
  • Driven, enthusiastic team player confident in taking initiative and thinking creatively
  • Thrives in cross-functional, matrixed, and multi-disciplinary team structures
