Job Description
Business Development Director driving growth for Evotec's fee-for-service business and mentorship. Closing complex deals and managing significant client relationships within the life sciences sector.
Responsibilities:
- Own the business development strategy for the territory, targeting high-value clients
- Manage significant accounts in the territory and identify opportunities for future growth
- Elevate Evotec’s brand recognition and position as a preferred provider for discovery and development services
- Spend 40–50% of your time with clients, leading presentations and negotiations
- Mentor and support junior BD team members
- Work closely with Operations and Marketing for seamless project delivery
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, track performance, and provide insights to senior leadership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the contract research (highly preferred) / life sciences sector
- Proven record of closing complex high-value deals and nurturing high potential accounts
- Strong understanding of drug discovery pathways and client requirements
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, assess value, and develop tailored sales strategies
- Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, develop persuasive proposals, and support strategic decision-making
- Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker, capable of operating in a consultative and highly competitive sales environment.
