Job Description

Business Development Director driving growth for Evotec's fee-for-service business and mentorship. Closing complex deals and managing significant client relationships within the life sciences sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the business development strategy for the territory, targeting high-value clients
  • Manage significant accounts in the territory and identify opportunities for future growth
  • Elevate Evotec’s brand recognition and position as a preferred provider for discovery and development services
  • Spend 40–50% of your time with clients, leading presentations and negotiations
  • Mentor and support junior BD team members
  • Work closely with Operations and Marketing for seamless project delivery
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, track performance, and provide insights to senior leadership

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the contract research (highly preferred) / life sciences sector
  • Proven record of closing complex high-value deals and nurturing high potential accounts
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery pathways and client requirements
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, assess value, and develop tailored sales strategies
  • Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, develop persuasive proposals, and support strategic decision-making
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker, capable of operating in a consultative and highly competitive sales environment.
