Job Description

Business Development Executive for STATSports, focusing on sports technology sales in Japan. Responsible for managing the full sales cycle and building relationships with elite sports organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage existing relationships with elite sports contacts to generate immediate pipeline to consistently deliver against quarterly targets
  • Lead negotiations with C-suite, Sporting Directors, Heads of Performance, and Technical Directors
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships (federations, leagues, distributors where relevant)
  • Experience expanding into new markets
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Be methodical in your approach to deliver consistency of results
  • Prepare any sales quotes and orders in a timely and well-presented manner, ensuring that all information provided is accurate and without errors
  • Be proactive, creative, organised and demonstrate strong work ethic in order to complete daily tasks and drive sales growth
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, for your performance and processes

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of experience within Sports Technology environment
  • Significant experience selling GPS or similar Sports Tech Products
  • Demonstrated success closing six- and seven-figure commercial deals
  • An established, active network within elite sport in your region
  • Proven ability to enter new markets and win Tier 1 logos
  • A passion for and understanding of sport
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage and grow relationships with key stakeholders
  • High level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Experience selling into complex, political buying environments
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region and internationally
