Job Description
Business Development Executive for STATSports, focusing on sports technology sales in Japan. Responsible for managing the full sales cycle and building relationships with elite sports organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage existing relationships with elite sports contacts to generate immediate pipeline to consistently deliver against quarterly targets
- Lead negotiations with C-suite, Sporting Directors, Heads of Performance, and Technical Directors
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships (federations, leagues, distributors where relevant)
- Experience expanding into new markets
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Be methodical in your approach to deliver consistency of results
- Prepare any sales quotes and orders in a timely and well-presented manner, ensuring that all information provided is accurate and without errors
- Be proactive, creative, organised and demonstrate strong work ethic in order to complete daily tasks and drive sales growth
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, for your performance and processes
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years of experience within Sports Technology environment
- Significant experience selling GPS or similar Sports Tech Products
- Demonstrated success closing six- and seven-figure commercial deals
- An established, active network within elite sport in your region
- Proven ability to enter new markets and win Tier 1 logos
- A passion for and understanding of sport
- Demonstrated ability to build, manage and grow relationships with key stakeholders
- High level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Experience selling into complex, political buying environments
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region and internationally
