Job Description
Business Development Manager with water/wastewater experience driving client relationships in North Carolina. Responsible for business pipelines and collaborating on strategic initiatives across projects.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and client relationships
- Present technical and value-based solutions to current and prospective clients
- Support early-stage project development through meetings and presentations
- Conduct post-project follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction
- Attend industry conferences to promote the brand and expand networks
- Partner with marketing to increase brand visibility and alignment
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout project development
- Continuously assess client needs and identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to resolve client challenges
- Develop relationships across related industries and sectors
- Build and manage a forward-looking sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Track decision-makers, project timelines, and opportunities
- Analyze customer data, market trends, and industry activity
- Identify emerging markets and demand drivers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of sales/business development experience (water/wastewater preferred)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
- Willingness to engage in in-person sales and client meetings
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
