Job Description
Remote Chuukese-English interpreter providing over-the-phone language services for Magi-K Language Services. Translating meaning, tone, and emotion while supporting healthcare and medical communications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate interpretation between languages over the phone
- Assist non-English speakers in various activities
- Provide over-the-phone interpretation services
- Impart thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone from the source language into the target language
- Comply with applicable ethics and standards
- Be aware of industry-specific vocabulary, specifically healthcare and medical terminology
Requirements:
- Native in Chuukese
- English at B2/C1 level
- Experience in interpretation is a plus
- Good knowledge of medical/legal terminology is a plus
- Windows 10 or newer computer
- Pentium or i3 processor minimum; Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz minimum; i5/i7 2.4 GHz or above recommended
- Stable and fast wired internet connection; Wi-Fi is not allowed
- Internet speed of 4 Mbps download/upload
- Noise-canceling wired USB headset
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally and personally
