Job Description
Federal business development manager building customer and partner relationships for Seamless Migration, an automation-focused defense services company. Identifying opportunities and strengthening its federal contracting presence.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, current customers, teaming partners, and industry contacts across the federal space
- Represent Seamless Migration during customer meetings, partner meetings, industry days, networking events, and business development discussions
- Consistently touch base with customer points of contact and maintain strong ongoing relationships
- Set up and manage recurring monthly touchpoints with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Identify new business opportunities, customer needs, upcoming requirements, and areas for company expansion
- Communicate Seamless Migration’s capabilities, technical strengths, past performance, and overall value to customers and partners
- Track customer conversations, meeting notes, action items, opportunity updates, and follow-up items
- Support internal business development and capture discussions by sharing customer feedback, opportunity updates, and relationship notes
- Coordinate with leadership, recruiting, capture, and operations teams to align customer needs with company capabilities
- Assist with business development paperwork, partner forms, customer documentation, and opportunity tracking
- Maintain awareness of federal customer priorities, partner activity, contract vehicles, and upcoming opportunities
- Strengthen Seamless Migration’s presence across the federal contracting market
Requirements:
- Experience in business development, sales, account management, customer engagement, recruiting, staffing, capture support, or a similar relationship-driven role
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers, partners, and internal teams
- Comfortable meeting prospective clients and maintaining regular communication with existing contacts
- Strong organizational skills for tracking conversations, next steps, customer touchpoints, and follow-up items
- Interest in federal contracting, technology services, cleared staffing, or mission support
- Ability to represent a small, fast-growing company confidently and professionally
- Comfortable working with senior leaders, technical teams, recruiters, customers, and partner organizations
- Self-motivated and consistent with outreach, customer engagement, and relationship management
- Able to support basic business development documentation, partner forms, meeting notes, and opportunity tracking
- Must live in the Virginia, D.C., or Maryland area
- Must be willing to travel as needed for customer meetings, partner meetings, and industry events
- US Citizen
- Security clearance preferred but not required
- Existing relationships in federal contracting, the intelligence community, government services, or cleared technology services are nice to have
- Experience supporting business development for a government contractor is nice to have
- Familiarity with cleared staffing, IT services, ServiceNow, infrastructure, cloud, cyber, DevOps, Red Hat, VMware, or related technical service areas is nice to have
- Experience attending industry days, networking events, customer meetings, or partner briefings is nice to have
- Familiarity with opportunity tracking, CRM tools, GovWin, SAM, FPDS, contract vehicles, or federal procurement processes is nice to have
- Prior experience working with small business federal contractors is nice to have
