Job Description
Field-based Clinical Account Executive advancing AbbVie’s Multiple Myeloma medicines across Kentucky and southern Indiana. Building oncology customer partnerships and executing territory strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the strategic leader for the assigned territory and report to the Senior District Manager
- Advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives and business goals
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific and clinical expertise
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in customer interactions
- Complete required training and follow company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities
Requirements:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech
- Oncology/hematology experience required, preferably in Multiple Myeloma
- Competitive selling skills
- Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Persistence and grit with a strong track record of success in challenging environments
- Personal auto or company car/truck
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, including possible background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination
- Ability to regularly travel by air or car
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Account Management experience in any industry preferred
- Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- People management or other leadership experience preferred
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
