Job Description

Field-based Clinical Account Executive advancing AbbVie’s Multiple Myeloma oncology medicines across the Baltimore territory. Building healthcare partnerships, executing territory strategy, and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs
  • Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders
  • Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific and clinical expertise
  • Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences
  • Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution
  • Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in customer interactions
  • Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
  • Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities
  • Serve as strategic leader of the territory and advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives and business goals
  • Report to the Senior District Manager

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in pharma/biotech
  • Oncology/hematology experience required; Multiple Myeloma experience preferred
  • Competitive selling skills
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Persistence and grit with a strong track record of succeeding in challenging environments
  • Personal auto or company car/truck
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
  • Ability to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, potentially including background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination
  • Regular business travel by air or car
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Account Management experience preferred
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • People management or other leadership experience preferred
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
