Job Description
Customer Engineer maintaining NCR Atleos hardware, ATMs, kiosks, and POS systems across India. Resolving incidents, performing repairs, installations, preventative maintenance, and customer-site service.
Responsibilities:
- Own assigned customer incidents through resolution or escalation
- Make minor repairs and replace components on Tier I equipment, including PCs, workstations, peripherals, printers, front-end POS systems, ATMs, kiosks, and single-pocket proof encoders
- Perform first-line maintenance on ATMs and kiosks
- Assist with site preparation, including cable installation, equipment staging, and minor equipment testing
- Perform modular swaps, unit replacements, and preventative maintenance services
- Resolve customer concerns within agreed Service Level Agreement parameters
- Build working relationships with local branch, store, or office customers
- Communicate with Service/Installation Coordinators, customers, and the Control Tower throughout service activities
- Install and set up hardware, perform hardware modifications, first-line maintenance, and multi-vendor maintenance
- Diagnose problems and follow security procedures when working with ATMs and financial institutions
- Stage equipment in shops or at customer sites
- Assist with site preparation and equipment installation, including limited modifications or Field Retrofit Orders
- Manage NCR tools, software, vehicles, documentation, intellectual property, parts inventory, and records
- Submit accurate and timely call, activity, expense, asset, invoicing, and billing reports
- Meet territory or country/region goals for revenue, calls, utilization, parts fill rate, customer satisfaction, SLA performance, and related metrics
Requirements:
- College degree or certificate in electronics or computer technology is preferred
- One year of college-level courses, equivalent military training, or training in electronics or computer technology
- One year of electronics or computer training at a recognized trade school, including theory and in-class hands-on time
- A+ Certification
- Job-related experience with electronic or electromechanical devices preferred, but not required
- Previous experience as an electronics bench or rework technician
- Valid driver's license
- Cleared background check and drug screen
- Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, and on-call shifts
- Ability to travel for customer service, including carrying and lifting a 1–50 lb tool kit/parts
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, and stooping
- Ability to work in enclosed, dusty, drafty, damp, cramped, and unusual environments
- Ability to function under stress and engage in interpersonal relations
