Job Description

Digital Marketing Specialist for a mortgage broking business in Australia. Managing social media strategy and content creation targeting first home buyers and investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the social media strategy across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging channels as relevant)
  • Competitor & Niche Research: Conduct deep dive research into the property and lending space to identify high performing content trends. Understand what reels and static posts are required to capture the first time buyer audience.
  • Organic Channel Growth: Take full ownership of building and managing a cohesive content calendar to drive engagement and followers without relying solely on paid spend.
  • Thought Leadership Strategy: Develop a content strategy that positions the brand as the go to authority for property finance through educational and insightful storytelling.
  • End to End Content Creation: Script engaging, high conversion Reels and TikToks, design educational carousels in Canva, and write persuasive captions.
  • Future Initiatives: Assist in the planning and execution of expanded marketing efforts, such as webinars and long form educational content.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor organic reach and conversion metrics, focusing on ROI and turning followers into qualified inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Proactive Initiative: A "tell me what to do" mindset where you can look at current channels and present a clear plan for growth.
  • Experience managing content calendars, publishing workflows, and community engagement
  • Content Expertise: Proven experience scripting video content and designing static posts that stop the scroll.
  • Strategic Research Skills: Ability to analyze competitors and translate those insights into a unique content plan.
  • Visual & Technical Tools: Proficiency in Canva and a strong understanding of social media algorithms across multi platform posting.
  • Data Driven ROI Focus: You prioritize organic funnel health and conversion over vanity metrics like likes.
  • Nice To Have: Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Property or Finance Experience - Previous experience marketing to first home buyers or property investors will be highly advantageous.
