Job Description

Head of Demand Generation at Cortex responsible for building inbound engine and driving leads through multi-channel strategies. Emphasizing analytical and experimental approaches to optimize demand generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Cortex's demand generation strategy end-to-end, from awareness through lead conversion
  • Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across paid search, paid social (LinkedIn, Reddit), SEO/SEM, content syndication, webinars, and emerging channels
  • Design and run rapid experiments to discover what channels, messages, and tactics drive the highest quality pipeline
  • Partner with Product Marketing to translate product messaging into high-converting campaigns that resonate with engineering leaders
  • Collaborate with Sales and GTM Ops to optimize lead scoring, routing, and handoff processes that maximize conversion rates
  • Manage demand generation budget and prove ROI across all channels with clear attribution and performance metrics
  • Build reporting frameworks to track key metrics: traffic, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, CAC, and conversion rates by channel
  • Work with our content and design teams to develop assets that support demand generation programs
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive tactics in the developer tools space
  • Scale the demand generation function as we grow, potentially building a team over time

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of B2B SaaS demand generation experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or senior IC role
  • Proven track record generating pipeline in developer tools, infrastructure software, or technical B2B products
  • Deep expertise across multiple demand gen channels: paid search, paid social, SEO, content marketing, ABM
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Salesforce, and marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to measure, optimize, and prove ROI of marketing investments
  • Experience selling to technical buyers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Platform Engineers)
  • Self-starter mentality with bias for action and experimentation
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where you'll need to be both strategic and hands-on.
