Job Description

Director overseeing enterprise applications, integrations, reporting, and system reliability for Bryan University’s online career-focused degree programs. Leading technical teams, projects, and staff development.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal user experience for university faculty, staff, and students
  • Lead and serve as a member of the enterprise application services team
  • Understand and document functional needs of university constituents
  • Analyze current and prospective system solutions
  • Deploy appropriate technology solutions
  • Establish and maintain automated data integrations
  • Oversee institutional reporting and ensure system reliability
  • Provide oversight, coaching, and hands-on leadership across enterprise application and data lifecycles
  • Provide clear expectations, coaching, regular feedback, staff meetings, and personnel reviews for direct reports
  • Oversee CRM, SIS, LMS, campus portal, intranet, and other enterprise applications to achieve 99.999% uptime and reliability
  • Oversee Data Warehouse infrastructure and PowerBI reporting to achieve 99.999% uptime and reliability
  • Oversee business analysis operations and apply technology and process improvement strategies
  • Architect and develop technology solutions and automate enterprise system data integrations
  • Establish and oversee Change Management and Release Management standards
  • Lead project sponsors, stakeholders, and teams through system development life cycles
  • Plan staff and resource allocations using data analysis
  • Develop system designs, data flow diagrams, requirements, project timelines, and related documentation
  • Coordinate project resources to deliver solutions within approved time and budget parameters
  • Account for provisioning, access, integration, and data security/integrity in projects
  • Prioritize time and resources according to university and departmental priorities
  • Identify functional requirements and eliminate repetitive manual processes
  • Guide implementation to ensure operational reliability
  • Coordinate security, sustainability, disaster recovery, and business continuity measures
  • Communicate system availability and maintenance notices
  • Maintain project, communication, testing, training, systems, and process documentation
  • Develop responsibility assignment matrices and project schedules
  • Establish partnerships with business units, ITS teams, and vendors to resolve operational issues
  • Analyze root causes, business processes, and systems to maximize resources and university ROI
  • Develop documentation, training, and tip sheets for functional users
  • Perform other projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application development, implementation, and management encompassing Business Intelligence/Institutional Reporting, System Integration Design/Development/Management, Systems Design/Development/Management, Systems Administration/Management, Business Analysis, Process Improvement/Management, Project Management, Change Management, and Personnel Management
  • CRM management experience is highly desirable
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Database development, web, and/or application programming experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced degree highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude and solutions oriented thinking
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours a week
