Job Description

Insurance Operations Director leading US insurance teams and national broker partnerships for Odevo, a technology-enabled residential property management company. Owning delivery processes, reporting, growth, and operational improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage Insurance Coordinators, Senior Insurance Coordinators, and regional Insurance Leads across the US market
  • Design and lead team operating cadence to drive organization, clarity, and execution
  • Partner with HR and senior leadership on organizational design as the team scales
  • Serve as the primary operational stakeholder for Odevo's national broker partner network
  • Drive volume from prospecting through policy placement
  • Manage broker SLAs, service levels, and escalation pathways
  • Facilitate business reviews with broker partners to track performance, resolve issues, and align on growth priorities
  • Identify opportunities to expand, adjust, or deepen broker partnerships
  • Own the end-to-end operational model for insurance delivery, including data intake, policy tracking, renewal execution, and post-placement servicing
  • Work with Op Co leadership to prioritize high-opportunity accounts
  • Design, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce friction, improve data quality, and increase team capacity
  • Own brokerage channel reporting, including growth, retention, penetration, commission financials, and team performance metrics
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Partner with data and technology teams to improve systems and reporting infrastructure

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of work experience in insurance, including insurance operations, insurance brokerage operations, in-house risk management, or a related field
  • 2+ years managing a team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and performance-manage direct reports
  • Strong working knowledge of P&C insurance products
  • Proven ability to manage external partner relationships at a program level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience building high-performing teams in fast-moving, matrixed environments
  • Ability to build and implement durable systems and processes
  • Data-driven and analytical; comfortable owning reporting, building trackers, and using data to guide decisions
  • Comfort with ambiguity and growth
  • Experience working with or within HOA management companies, community association management, or similar property management environments preferred
  • Experience working in a portfolio company or matrixed organization preferred
  • P&C license held or ability to obtain
