Job Description
Phone Operations Specialist supporting Twilio customers with number porting, short codes, Sender IDs, and carrier issues. Managing phone connectivity operations for a global communications platform.
Responsibilities:
- Provide email support to Twilio customers and ensure an excellent customer experience
- Assess product or service issues and resolve basic-to-intermediate problems
- Respond to intermediate-to-advanced customer and internal questions in core areas and basic questions across multiple areas
- Log customer interactions and tag or categorize issues
- Learn processes across various subject areas and ensure operations run smoothly
- Respond to and action incoming carrier partner notifications
- Manage complex customer and internal-team issues in a timely and transparent manner
- Travel occasionally for project or team in-person meetings
Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexibly in rotational schedules
- 4-6 years of experience working with global customers in operations within customer-facing teams, preferably in eCommerce or telecommunications
- Basic technical skills, including basic SQL and an understanding of APIs and data analytics
- Empathy and ability to work with customers and carriers to solve problems using data
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and comfort with ambiguity
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly and concisely
- Willingness to collaborate with communications partners and industry players
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working under pressure
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar tools preferred
- Experience and understanding of APIs and related technologies preferred
- Telecommunications background desired
