Job Description
Director developing Southern California referral partnerships for Accountable, an online peer recovery provider. Building treatment, clinical, legal, employer, and community channels to drive qualified enrollments.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Southern California territory plan, segmenting the market and prioritizing accounts
- Build referral relationships with treatment centers, clinicians, discharge planners, legal and monitoring programs, employers, and community organizations
- Focus on residential programs, detoxes, PHP/IOPs, outpatient programs, sober livings, therapists, addiction medicine and psychiatry practices, primary care, and hospital social workers
- Conduct 15–20 partner meetings per week once ramped and spend four to five days per week in the field
- Sell Accountable's recovery services consultatively based on each referrer's client needs
- Run in-services and lunch-and-learns and attend coalition meetings, professional events, and conferences
- Manage each referral handoff, close the loop with partners, and protect Accountable's reputation
- Own referral targets, pipeline development, account conversion, forecasting, and performance adjustments
- Log activity, opportunities, and market intelligence in the CRM the same day
- Share successful messaging, competitor intelligence, introductions, and lessons learned with the outreach team
- Follow Accountable's compliance standards and avoid referral fees, per-head arrangements, and kickbacks
- Report to the VP of Outreach as an individual contributor
- Build a repeatable market playbook that can support expansion into future territories
Requirements:
- Must live in Southern California
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- 5+ years of outside sales, community outreach, admissions, or business development experience
- Real ownership of a territory, pipeline, or revenue target
- Direct behavioral health or substance use treatment experience strongly preferred
- Trusted relationships in the Southern California treatment community
- Relationships with treatment providers, clinicians, interventionists, attorneys, or monitoring programs capable of producing qualified referrals in the first quarter
- Experience opening a market or building a territory from an early stage
- Knowledge of detox, residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient, MAT, sober living, and recovery support
- Understanding of private pay and insurance coverage and ability to explain client costs accurately
- Demonstrated history of carrying and achieving a quota or revenue target
- Ability to explain pipeline, account conversion, and performance metrics
- Same-day CRM activity logging discipline
- Ability to work independently while sharing relationships and contributing to team performance
- Willingness to be managed through weekly targets and monthly business reviews
- Ability to start soon
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Regular travel across Southern California and 3–4 field days per week
- Personal or family recovery experience is valued but never required

- Performance bonus, with target total compensation of $130,000-$150,000
