Job Description

Distributor Territory Manager driving Keystone Technologies' commercial lighting demand across assigned territories. Managing sales agencies, distributor relationships, market strategy, training, and customer visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned distributor sales territory
  • Drive product demand while maintaining Keystone's Light Made Easy promise
  • Work with sales agencies, distributor customers, and contractors to educate them on Keystone products
  • Oversee sales agency performance and ensure company goals and standards are met
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers, sales agents, specifiers, and end-users
  • Provide sales training to sales agencies and distributor customers
  • Develop sales plans with sales agencies and department leadership
  • Analyze sales trends and develop strategies to capture opportunities
  • Become a market expert on Keystone and competitor products, pricing, and trends
  • Report market findings to team management
  • Travel throughout each market to visit distributors, specifiers, and end-users
  • Maintain contact with existing customers for potential ongoing orders
  • Develop and manage contact information for current decision-makers
  • Display and attend trade shows
  • Cold call to develop new business
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales on current and future opportunities
  • Advise the product team on market trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Business or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the lighting industry is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional ability to listen and formulate responses that cater to the other person's needs
  • Proficiency with computers and software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills
  • Must live within the assigned territory: Indiana, Kentucky, Arkansas, or Memphis (West Tennessee)
