Job Description

Remote Distributor Territory Manager driving commercial lighting demand across assigned U.S. territories. Training distributors, managing sales agencies, and developing customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned territory and drive product demand while maintaining Keystone's Light Made Easy promise
  • Work with sales agencies, distributor customers, and contractors to educate them on Keystone products
  • Oversee performance and develop long-term relationships with customers, sales agents, and end-users
  • Provide sales training to sales agencies and distributor customers
  • Develop long-term relationships with specifiers, customers, sales agents, and end-users through exceptional customer service
  • Oversee and manage independent sales agencies to ensure company goals and performance standards are met
  • Develop sales plans with sales agencies and department leadership
  • Analyze sales trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies with sales agents
  • Become a market expert on Keystone and competitor products, pricing, and trends; report findings to team management
  • Travel to each market to call on distributors, specifiers, and end-users and update sales agents
  • Maintain contact with existing customers for potential ongoing orders
  • Develop and manage contact information to keep decision-makers current
  • Display and attend trade shows
  • Cold call to develop new business
  • Work closely with Inside Sales on current and future opportunities
  • Advise the product team on market trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Business or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the lighting industry is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an exceptional ability to listen and formulate responses that cater to the other person's needs
  • Proficiency with computers and software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software, as well as ability to learn new computer systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills
  • Must live within the supported territory: Indiana, Kentucky, Arkansas, or Memphis (West Tennessee)
  • Regular in-territory travel is required
