Job Description
Senior Environmental Project Manager delivering complex remediation projects for AECOM’s oil and gas clients. Leading project teams, risk, budgets, quality, and client growth across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful delivery of complex environmental projects for refining, industrial, and related-sector clients
- Oversee projects from planning through execution
- Provide strategic project leadership
- Manage project risk and uncertainty, with plans to mitigate or eliminate risks
- Ensure financial performance, planned profit margins, and revenue delivery
- Deliver projects without write-downs or multiplier erosion
- Manage complex clients and projects involving risk-triggering factors
- Direct Project Managers and project teams across multiple projects or programs
- Direct staff to minimize exposure to claims
- Foster long-term client relationships through high-quality project outcomes
- Support repeat business, grow key accounts, and secure additional client work
Requirements:
- BA/BS and 8 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 8 years of relevant experience minimum unless satisfied through demonstrated equivalency of education and experience
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a motor vehicle records check
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- Sponsorship is not available now or in the future
- Preferred: 10+ years of environmental consulting experience supporting oil and gas, refining, industrial, or energy-sector clients
- Proven experience managing complex, multidisciplinary environmental projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Strong client relationship management experience, including growing key accounts and securing repeat business
- Experience leading project teams, mentoring Project Managers, and managing project risk, contracts, and financial performance
- Professional certification or registration such as PG, PE, CHMM, PMP, or related credential preferred
