Job Description

Online Project Management Professor teaching undergraduate and graduate students at DeVry University. Developing courses, assessing learning, and integrating instructional technology and responsible AI.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate Project Management courses in accordance with DeVry University requirements
  • Facilitate student learning through practitioner-focused education
  • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans aligned with course and programmatic objectives
  • Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
  • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
  • Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning
  • Set course expectations, terminal objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting
  • Ensure exams align with course terminal objectives
  • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
  • Provide timely feedback to students
  • Integrate responsible AI technologies to enhance teaching and learning
  • Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in the subject being taught, or a doctoral degree in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject
  • Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
  • Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
  • Requisite subject matter expertise
