Job Description

Field Sales Engineer selling Stäubli fluid connector solutions to Midwest industrial customers. Balancing field customer visits with home-office planning, technical sales, and project support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales efforts in the Midwest region by providing technical expertise and solutions to prospective and existing Stäubli Fluid Connector clients
  • Understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions
  • Facilitate successful sales cycles
  • Develop a weekly call plan targeting open quotes, ongoing projects, leads, and key accounts
  • Organize plans using Outlook Calendar or company policy
  • Conduct 3 to 4 days per week in the field with a target of two daily customer meetings in person or via Teams
  • Spend 1 to 2 days per week in a home office for follow-up and planning activities
  • Prospect for new business opportunities and follow up efficiently
  • Record detailed call reports and prospecting notes in the CRM system
  • Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions and sales activities
  • Implement the company's chosen sales strategy and achieve success with the methodology
  • Submit weekly expense reports and monthly project reports
  • Manage expenses according to company policies
  • Report competitor activities and significant market shifts to the Regional Manager
  • Stay informed about industry trends and customer needs
  • Attend mandatory sales and training meetings, exhibitions, and company-related events
  • Uphold professional communication standards and protect the company's reputation
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with the Fluid Connector Division Sales, Product Management, and Sales Admin teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience
  • Customer-based project management experience
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Currently resides in the Midwest, preferably Michigan, with consideration for candidates from Ohio or Indiana
  • Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally, up to 30%
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment
