Job Description

Field Sales Engineer developing sales initiatives for Broadcom’s FC storage products. Building executive relationships and driving revenue across designated territories and accounts in North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and/or develop comprehensive sales initiatives within a stated geography or list of predefined named accounts.
  • Territory development will include collaborating with channel and other OEM partners.
  • Build and maintain high level executive relationships with End User Accounts and/or OEMs.
  • Drive revenue across relevant Broadcom product segments with available resources.
  • Build cross-functional relationships within Broadcom for timely and accurate forecasting.
  • Identify new SAN business opportunities and communicate resource needs.

Requirements:

  • B.A./ B.S. or equivalent
  • 8 - 10 years in outside IT technical sales experience (data center/ storage/SAN / networking)
  • 5 + years with End User sales experience and proven sales track record in a competitive networking and storage environment.
  • Proven track record for consistent sales success in developing and maintaining large territories.
  • Strong background and acumen in developing new sales opportunities within a “green” field territory as well as maintaining long-term account/territory management.
  • Excellent people skills/influencing ability and effective in sustaining business relationships.
  • Overnight Travel will be required.
