Job Description

Sales Engineer managing sales in the Sumatera territory for ARI-Armaturen, a German manufacturer of industrial valves. Prospecting, quoting, and maintaining client relationships while achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for prospecting, quotation, sales, and completion of contracts profitably in the designated Sumatera territory
  • Agree and authorize specifications with clients leading to quotations and tendering processes
  • Achieve given sales goals within the specified territory
  • Understand customer requirements and provide sales and marketing support accordingly
  • Generate high-quality sales leads and efficiently process orders
  • Identify and report on potential new markets, industries, and opportunities within the Sumatra Area
  • Develop and maintain an order pipeline using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Provide regular ARI product training and seminars to clients
  • Report progress against the sales plan both verbally and in writing

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in engineering or related field
  • Previous relevant sales and technical experience is equally important
  • Experience in sales (valve related industry) is preferred
  • Good English Skills are required
  • Knowledge & experience of distributor and OEM business required
  • Strong problemsolving ability, good negotiation and closing skills to drive sales
  • Excellent presentation skills for ARI products and service to customers
  • Willingness to continue your sales and engineering education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results
  • Project management skills are essential as we undertake a large number of major projects
