Job Description
Field Service Engineer maintaining and repairing GE HealthCare medical equipment in New Mexico. Leading customer escalations, field engineers, account support, and equipment training.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on assigned equipment
- Perform installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment
- Lead, instruct, and assist less experienced Field Engineers
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members
- Lead customer communications and serve as escalation point for customer-related concerns
- Own customer issues from dispatch or identification through resolution
- Keep designated customers and team members informed of issue status
- Lead and communicate HQ and Zone or Area-level initiatives
- Co-lead regular team or modality meetings
- Recommend value-added services to improve customer business efficiency
- Maintain customer service logs and internal service records
- Order repair parts and manage cycle times
- Implement corrective action plans with region and national support
- Serve as a member and leader of account communities for assigned accounts
- Engage commercial counterparts and identify potential sales leads
- Participate in contract renewals and revenue programs
- Keep up to date with competitor information and market trends
- Support business growth with Commercial Sales teams and region/zone leadership
- Assist with growth and deployment strategies
- Provide application training to clinical or scientific staff when needed
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience
- Minimum 4 years of required experience under the degree or equivalent military education pathways; 8 years under the high school pathway
- Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers in a solution-based service process
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- No employment visa sponsorship available now or in the future
- Successful completion of GEHC’s standard background check, including a post-offer drug test
- Compliance with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when applicable
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, and sit and stand for long periods
- Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex or extend neck; and maintain good hand and finger dexterity
- Availability for after-hours work and/or rotating on-call schedules, including weekends
- Valid driver’s license
