Job Description
Remote Field Service Technician installing, repairing, and troubleshooting ProMach’s automated packaging machinery. Training customers and supporting field service across California and the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot flexible machinery of complex design
- Ensure inspection, testing, quality, and operating specifications are met
- Direct or oversee customer personnel during machinery installations, integrations, and servicing
- Customize machine programs on-site to meet customer needs
- Maintain occasional 24-hour on-call status
- Provide customer technical telephone support
- Provide factory floor support when not traveling for field service
- Train customers on machinery operation and service
- Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs in the field
Requirements:
- Knowledge of mechanical principles
- Willingness to travel extensively within the US and internationally from time to time
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful
- Proficiency in Windows and MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to train customer personnel on equipment
- Experience in flexible packaging material machinery preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in machinery repair
- PLC programming experience preferred
- Technical Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to travel a minimum of 75%
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
