Job Description
Network Engineer supporting customer SD-WAN, Meraki, Cradlepoint, and satellite connectivity deployments. Providing remote engineering guidance to field technicians for New Era Technology’s enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and support Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN solutions, including vManage and vEdge/cEdge.
- Configure and maintain Cisco Meraki environments across MX, MS, and MR platforms.
- Implement and support Cradlepoint routers using NetCloud Manager.
- Integrate LTE/5G and satellite connectivity into enterprise network designs.
- Provide real-time remote support to field technicians during installations, cutovers, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with validation, turn-ups, and issue resolution during live deployments.
- Support multiple customer networks simultaneously with strong prioritization and communication.
- Ensure adherence to customer-specific standards, SLAs, and security requirements.
Requirements:
- 4-7+ years of hands-on data networking or network engineering experience in the capacity of large-scale projects or national or international deployments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, including vManage, policy control, and routing.
- Experience with Microsoft based desktop and laptop computers, as well as mobile device experience (smart phones, tablet pc, etc.).
- Strong experience with Cisco Meraki MX, MS, and MR platforms.
- Experience with the Cradlepoint NetCloud ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security fundamentals.
- Experience supporting distributed environments and remote site connectivity.
- Experience with wired and wireless monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical guidance to field technicians and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across customer environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience with Starlink deployment and satellite connectivity is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls and SD-WAN capabilities is advantageous.
- Experience with multi-carrier cellular deployments and failover design is advantageous.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Meraki CMNA/CMNO, Cradlepoint, Juniper, CompTIA, Apple, Linux or Fortinet NSE are advantageous.
