Job Description

Field Service Technician providing mechanical and electrical services, including inspection and maintenance for Regal Rexnord products. Responsible for leading teams and ensuring quality service in North America and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • The associate in this position will be responsible for performing mechanical service including inspection, repair, maintenance and installation of various types of Regal Rexnord and similar products.
  • The associate will be able to assist or perform a variety of field service duties and may be asked to lead teams of peers in these types of activities.
  • Service activities may include, but are not limited to, mechanical and electrical tasks, as well as assist with tasks such as procurement of supplies, organization of equipment/tools and completion of field service reports.
  • In addition, this person will be required to interact with and utilize a variety of software types, instruments and computer equipment.
  • The majority of service activities are in North America however, service activities in other countries are common and will occur.

Requirements:

  • Primary language: English
  • Secondary-level (beyond H.S.) industrial/mechanical trade school or apprenticeship diploma/certificate
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in one of the following areas: Field Services, Millwright, Machinist, Maintenance/Repair, or Engineering
  • Experience and competence reading and interpreting blueprints and other technical drawings
  • Experience and competence using measuring tools/equipment (i.e. micrometers, calipers, and dial and electronic indicators)
  • Experience and competence with industrial drive train alignment
  • Experience and competence with hand tools
  • Ability to carry and lift items such as, but not limited to, tools, equipment, and components weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Agility to climb and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Ability to wear safety equipment such as, but not limited to, hard hat, steel-toed boots, ear plugs, safety glasses, goggles, face mask, respirator, fire-resistant clothing, gloves, safety harness, etc.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both written and oral (MS Office)
  • Can effectively function in a matrix and team environment
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Frequent travel (Domestic and International)
