Job Description

Finance Analyst supporting reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for a Weekday client in India. Preparing models, dashboards, and insights from financial and operational data.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial reports, management reports, and periodic financial statements
  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Perform variance analysis between actual financial performance and budgets or forecasts
  • Track revenue, expenses, costs, cash flows, and other key financial metrics
  • Prepare Excel-based financial models, dashboards, MIS reports, and analytical summaries
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities
  • Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and transaction reviews
  • Conduct financial and business research for internal analysis and decision-making
  • Identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues in financial data and escalate them
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, operations, and other business teams to gather and validate financial information
  • Maintain accurate documentation and organized financial data
  • Support senior finance team members with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting

Requirements:

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in finance, financial analysis, accounting, or a related domain
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of finance, financial analysis, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Understanding of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, revenue, expenses, and financial metrics
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, PivotTables, and basic data analysis
  • Ability to interpret financial data and convert it into meaningful insights
  • Basic understanding of financial modeling and financial planning concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with large datasets while maintaining accuracy and data integrity
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines
  • Familiarity with accounting or ERP software is good to have
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data-analysis tools is good to have
  • Understanding of financial ratios and business performance indicators is good to have
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internships or projects are encouraged to apply
