Job Description

Finance Associate supporting finance operations with a focus on US GAAP compliance in a growing SaaS startup. Managing day-to-day finance tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day Finance & Accounting operations
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), billing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and MIS reports
  • Ensure accounting activities are compliant with US GAAP
  • Support SaaS revenue accounting, deferred revenue, accruals, and prepaid accounting
  • Coordinate audits, compliance, and finance documentation
  • Assist the Finance Director on finance projects, reporting, controls, and process improvements
  • Work cross-functionally with business, HR, payroll, and operations teams

Requirements:

  • B.Com or M.Com - Min Grad
  • Professional certifications - CA (Semi-qualified/Qualified)/CMA
  • 4–6 years of relevant Finance & Accounting experience
  • Must have experience working with a US startup OR managing accounting/reporting under US GAAP and compliances
  • Minimum 2–3 years of software/SaaS industry experience required
  • Strong hands-on experience in: AP / AR operations, General Ledger (GL), Month-end close, Financial statements, Account reconciliations, Compliance & audit support
  • Good understanding of SaaS finance operations including: Revenue recognition, Deferred revenue, Subscription billing, Collections & renewals support, Customer invoicing cycles
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERPs such as QuickBooks, Zoho, Xero or similar ERPs used by Global startups.
