Job Description
Freelance Tamil Translator creating accurate translations and client-ready English reports for Isentia’s media insights business. Fact-checking and refining machine-translated content.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tamil-to-English and English-to-Tamil outputs, including short summaries, long summaries, and full verbatim translations
- Correct machine-translated text to ensure natural, professional phrasing and remove false information or AI errors
- Align English outputs with client style guides, tone, and brand requirements
- Verify names, dates, and technical facts through external research
- Conduct additional research to add important context missed by AI tools
- Produce clear, client-ready English reports
- Balance AI tools with human review to complete high volumes of work on time and to a high standard
- Learn client requirements and adapt writing or research styles accordingly
Requirements:
- Fluency in Tamil and English (written)
- Experience in translation, machine translation post-editing, or research writing
- Strong research skills with high attention to factual accuracy and detail
- Ability to adapt writing and research styles to specific client style guides
- Ability to handle high-volume work and meet strict deadlines
