Job Description
Group Account Director overseeing client delivery and strategy at Knotch, enhancing content performance with AI. Building relationships and guiding marketing operations for measurable impact.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the day-to-day client partner, building trusted relationships with executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead discovery efforts including stakeholder interviews to define business outcomes, objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Translate client business goals into clear strategic roadmaps spanning content, marketing, and operations.
- Oversee and contribute to delivery of consulting engagements including: Measurement and outcome planning frameworks.
- Content vision, strategy, and architecture mapped to the customer journey.
- Content planning across topics, formats, channels, and funnel stages.
- Operating model and workflow design for content and marketing teams.
- Ensure strategies include test plans, and phased rollouts driven by insights.
- Guide teams in auditing existing content, mapping it to the audience journey, and identifying gaps, optimization, and repurposing opportunities.
- Direct responsibility and ownership of client delivery for integrated marketing assignments where Knotch is responsible for execution against strategy.
- Oversee and direct the creative team who develop and deliver content including: Optimization and atomization of content for audiences, channels, and funnel stages.
- Creation of new content such as thought leadership, SEO-driven content, nurture flows, and multi-channel programs.
- Ensure execution aligns tightly with strategies, performance goals, and audience needs.
- Lead collaboration across internal teams and client partners (e.g., creative studios, editorial teams, marketing operations).
- Review performance monitoring and reporting across specific accounts.
- Ensure teams deliver journey-based insights and recommendations, not just metrics.
- Guide continuous optimization cycles, using performance data to refine strategy, execution, and roadmaps over time.
- Partner with analytics teams to connect content and marketing performance to downstream business impact where possible.
- Own financial performance across accounts, including forecasting, scope management, and margin health.
- Identify opportunities for account growth through expanded engagements and deeper partnerships.
- Support proposal development, SOWs, and pricing in collaboration with senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of agency experience in account and strategy roles within a digital and/or content arena for enterprise clients, of annual value of $2MM+ in revenue
- Led complex engagements that span strategy, operations, and execution.
- Expertise in content strategy, operations, and integrated marketing delivery.
- Strong understanding of measurement frameworks, performance optimization, and learning agendas.
- Experience partnering with client stakeholders at all levels.
- Early adopter and use of AI tools
