Job Description

Strategic HR Business Partner aligning people strategy, talent, employee relations, and HR programs for Convergint’s Southeastern US operations. Supporting mergers, change management, analytics, and leadership development.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership across multiple Southeastern US business units to drive people strategy and align HR initiatives with organizational goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to front-line supervisors, managers, and executive leadership
  • Identify people-related challenges and opportunities and provide strategic HR guidance
  • Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to implement specialized programs and services
  • Support all phases of merger and acquisition activity, including HR due diligence, talent and organizational assessments, employee transition planning, integration execution, HR program harmonization, retention strategies, and change management
  • Lead talent development efforts including performance management, career pathing, and succession planning
  • Support goal alignment, continuous learning, leadership development, and professional growth
  • Provide employee-relations guidance on conflict resolution, performance issues, and workplace concerns
  • Conduct timely and thorough employee-relations investigations
  • Partner with Compensation and Talent Acquisition on compensation, benefits, and recruiting strategies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Implement inclusion and diversity programs and advocate for equitable growth and advancement
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives and communications
  • Use HR analytics to measure program success and provide data-driven recommendations
  • Lead execution of HR programs including engagement surveys, leadership development, compensation and benefits strategies, and talent acquisition efforts

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on strategic HR business partnership, talent management, colleague relations, and organizational development
  • Experience working with colleagues at all levels, from front-line workers to senior leadership
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with business objectives
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence individuals at all organizational levels
  • Experience leveraging HR Centers of Excellence, including Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Inclusion & Diversity
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Workday as an HRIS
  • Ability to support Workday system implementations and roll out new features and functionality
  • Proficiency in HR analytics
  • Expertise in employment law and HR policies and procedures, including federal, state, and local regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Flexibility for US time zones
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Preferred: experience in a fast-paced, global, or matrixed environment
  • Preferred: demonstrated ability to manage complex HR projects and lead change initiatives
  • Up to 25% annual travel
