Job Description
Strategic HR Business Partner driving people strategy, talent development, employee relations, and change management for Convergint’s South Central US operations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders and management teams to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders at all organizational levels
- Identify people-related challenges and opportunities and provide strategic guidance
- Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to implement specialized programs and services
- Support all phases of merger and acquisition activity, including HR due diligence, talent and organizational assessments, employee transition planning, integration execution, HR program harmonization, retention strategies, and change management
- Lead talent development efforts, including performance management, career pathing, and succession planning
- Align individual goals with organizational objectives and foster continuous learning and development
- Create and implement training programs that enhance leadership skills and professional growth
- Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance issues, and workplace concerns
- Conduct timely and thorough employee relations investigations
- Promote colleague engagement and a positive work environment
- Align compensation structures, benefits, and recruiting strategies with organizational goals and market competitiveness
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Implement inclusion and diversity programs and advocate for equitable growth and advancement
- Lead and support organizational change initiatives and communications
- Utilize HR analytics to measure program success and provide data-driven recommendations
- Lead execution of HR programs such as engagement surveys, leadership development, compensation and benefits strategies, and talent acquisition efforts
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on strategic HR business partnership, talent management, colleague relations, and organizational development
- Experience working with colleagues at all levels, from front-line workers to senior leadership
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with business objectives
- Ability to collaborate with and influence individuals at all organizational levels
- Experience leveraging HR Centers of Excellence, including Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Inclusion & Diversity
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Experience using Workday as an HRIS
- Ability to support Workday system implementations and roll out new features and functionality
- Proficiency in HR analytics
- Expertise in employment law and HR policies and procedures, including federal, state, and local regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Preferred: experience in a fast-paced, global, or matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR projects and lead change initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus
- Must be based in Texas
- Flexibility for US time zones
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Up to 25% travel annually
