Job Description

Instrumentation Account Manager for K&D Pratt's instrumentation team, developing new business and maintaining customer relationships in NS/NB/PEI. Engaging customers and providing solutions for instrumentation needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities through company lead follow-ups, industry contacts, tender sites, and market awareness
  • High-Value Customer Engagement – spend your time meeting customers, understanding their operations, and recommending solutions that protect people and critical equipment.
  • Build and grow relationships with organizations that depend on accurate measurement, monitoring, and control solutions.
  • Own and Grow Your Territory – build relationships with municipalities, industrial operators, and commercial customers while expanding both new and existing business.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand instrumentation solutions and services
  • Work closely with inside sales and technical teams to deliver accurate and timely quotes and technical solutions
  • Visit customer sites to understand operational needs and recommend appropriate instrumentation and measurement solutions
  • Support service initiatives including maintenance, calibration, and field servicing of instrumentation devices and systems
  • Act as the face of our Instrumentation solutions to municipalities, utilities, industrial operators, and commercial customers
  • Maintain and manage opportunities, account activity, and pipeline visibility using CRM tools
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support territory growth and sales planning
  • Participate in product training, supplier updates, and certification opportunities
  • Represent K&D Pratt at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Promote safe work practices and demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of the role.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in instrumentation, Electrical equipment, or technically related sales
  • Demonstrated success developing new business while growing existing customer relationships
  • Hands-on technical experience in electrical, instrumentation, or industrial environments
  • Experience or familiarity with water and wastewater systems, flow measurement, valves, gas detection, or process instrumentation
  • Exposure to calibration services, PLC systems, programming, or panel instrumentation is considered an asset
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand customer operations and recommend practical solutions
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and maintain accurate activity within CRM systems
  • Comfortable working independently in a territory-based role while collaborating with inside sales and technical teams
  • Organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented in a fast-moving territory sales environment
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory
  • Bilingual English/French is considered an asset but not required.
