Job Description
Spanish interpreter providing remote early-intervention translation for Virtua Health. Bridging communication among families, providers, medical professionals, and social service organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Provides oral and written translation/interpretation for service providers and recipients
- Shifts easily from technical to informal language skills
- Recognizes and accommodates dialectic differences in language
- Provides literal and anecdotal translation
- Maintains confidentialities
- Offers accurate translation/interpreting services between service providers and recipients in a variety of settings
- Translates written documents into the language of the family and/or legal guardian
- Supports families by bridging communication with outside service providers, medical professionals, social service organizations, and others
Requirements:
- One (1) year of professional translation/interpreting services in designated language
- Written and oral communication proficiency
- Fluency in formal and dialectic nuances in designated language
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of educational and medical terminology preferred
- Formal training/certification preferred
- Valid driver's license may be required
