Job Description

Key Account Manager expanding Vitamin Well’s functional drinks and snacks across Ontario grocery and convenience accounts. Using category analytics, retailer presentations, and trade-spend management to grow distribution and shelf space.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead head office presentations for key grocery and convenience accounts in Ontario
  • Support new product and retailer launches, including POG/MOD assessments and recommendations
  • Build ACV across grocery and convenience accounts while increasing SKU assortment
  • Manage daily administrative tasks for distributors and accounts
  • Organize category data and information
  • Create sales presentations and supporting materials
  • Visit key retailer head offices to meet Senior Category Managers, review performance, and advise on changes and opportunities
  • Build presentations using market data and category insights to maximize market share and share of shelf
  • Develop deep category expertise and become a trusted category resource for retailers
  • Identify white space opportunities using category data, insights, and analysis
  • Manage and analyze retailer dashboards to assess product velocities and identify opportunities
  • Manage trade spend and account financials
  • Identify and develop off-shelf opportunities to drive consumer engagement and incremental growth

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of category management experience within CPG, specifically supporting large national key accounts in the Canadian grocery and convenience channels
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian grocery and convenience landscape
  • Experience working with accounts such as Parkland, Circle K, Petro-Canada/Suncor, Rexall, or similar retailers
  • Experience with category assessment, POG/MOD planning and implementation, assortment management, and identifying opportunities within key grocery and convenience accounts
  • Proficiency with Nielsen, SPINS, IRI, retail POG software, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Financial understanding, including account P&L management, forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, trade spend, and seasonality
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep senior leadership informed of key business developments
  • Entrepreneurial and independent mindset
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influence without direct authority, and operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, growing business
  • Strong customer-service mindset with timely communication across customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • French-English bilingual skills preferred but not required
  • Ontario-based candidates preferred
