Job Description

Key Sales Account Manager growing F5’s application security and delivery business. Winning new accounts, expanding customer relationships, and closing SaaS solution deals across NY/NJ territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell F5’s solutions and services while managing existing named accounts and prospects
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships
  • Understand client business needs and align F5’s technical solutions to those needs
  • Proactively identify and qualify opportunities through research, networking, and outreach
  • Develop targeted sales strategies by industry, customer need, and territory
  • Prepare proposals and presentations, present to all organizational levels including C-suite, negotiate, and close sales
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, prospects, Systems Integrators, Service Providers, and regional VARs
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies
  • Track and report sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline status to management
  • Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant sales or account management role
  • Proven track record in new business development
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and solution-selling skills
  • Excellent presentation and client interfacing abilities
  • Proven success in a matrix sales environment
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Expertise in SaaS products, preferably F5 solutions
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools, including Salesforce
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, resilient, and possessing a hunter mentality
  • Ability to travel up to 50% by automobile and airplane
  • Availability to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work from a home office within the designated territory
