Job Description

Korean-to-English translator/editor handling vital records, legal documents, and academic transcripts. Producing accurate translations and edits for a U.S. government client.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate and edit Korean-to-English vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts
  • Translate and/or edit various types of documentation for a U.S. government client
  • Accept assignments on an as-needed basis
  • Complete assignments within one-to-two-day deadlines

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen based in the USA
  • Willing to undergo a Tier 1 background investigation, including fingerprinting
  • Native speaker of Korean and near-native English
  • Bachelor’s degree in translation or an equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of two to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor
  • Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Equipped with up-to-date Windows software
  • Excellent formatting skills
  • Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines
  • Able to provide per-word rates for translation, editing, or both
  • Willing to accept assignments as needed
