Job Description
Korean-to-English translator/editor handling vital records, legal documents, and academic transcripts. Producing accurate translations and edits for a U.S. government client.
Responsibilities:
- Translate and edit Korean-to-English vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts
- Translate and/or edit various types of documentation for a U.S. government client
- Accept assignments on an as-needed basis
- Complete assignments within one-to-two-day deadlines
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen based in the USA
- Willing to undergo a Tier 1 background investigation, including fingerprinting
- Native speaker of Korean and near-native English
- Bachelor’s degree in translation or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum of two to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor
- Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Equipped with up-to-date Windows software
- Excellent formatting skills
- Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines
- Able to provide per-word rates for translation, editing, or both
- Willing to accept assignments as needed
