Job Description
Managing Director at Cox Consulting Network seeking to grow client relationships through sales. Responsibilities include acquiring clients, building partnerships, and serving as a trusted advisor in finance.
Responsibilities:
- Own new client acquisition and revenue generation across your market and beyond
- Build and manage a personal pipeline from first meeting through close
- Consistently convert relationships into signed consulting engagements
- Forecast revenue accurately and operate with full transparency around pipeline activity
- Expand CCN’s presence by building relationships with mid-market and PE-backed companies
- Identify and pursue opportunities where CCN’s consulting model delivers outsized value
- Lead consultative conversations with senior finance and accounting leaders
- Diagnose business and accounting challenges and scope tailored consulting solutions
- Serve as a trusted advisor who simplifies complex issues and drives action
- Develop partnerships with private equity firms, industry networks, and finance leaders
- Represent CCN through networking events, panels, and community engagement
- Partner closely with CCN’s recruiting and leadership teams to ensure successful engagements and delighted consultants
Requirements:
- CPA license or 7+ years of progressive accounting experience required
- Experience advising, supporting, or partnering with senior finance leaders (CFOs, Controllers, PE partners)
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical finance needs into business solutions
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or advisory environments preferred
- Strong interest in business development, relationship-building, and revenue ownership
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the discipline and accountability to drive results independently
- Mission-driven with a genuine desire to elevate the consulting experience for both clients and consultants
