Job Description
Remote Mandarin Interpreter providing consecutive interpretation services in various settings. Fostering effective communication between English and Mandarin speakers with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Provide over-the-phone and video consecutive interpretation in medical, legal, and social service environments.
- Accurately convey messages while maintaining professional neutrality and confidentiality.
- Research terminology to ensure a thorough understanding of specialized fields.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to bridge gaps between diverse backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Bilingual Excellence: Native-level or near-native fluency in both Mandarin and English (C1/C2 level).
- Professionalism: Ability to handle high-pressure or sensitive situations with grace.
- Core Skills: Outstanding listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.
- Experience: Previous interpretation experience is preferred, but we welcome all highly skilled candidates!
