Job Description
Marketing Manager shaping One NZ’s SEO and AI-powered digital visibility strategy. Building discoverability governance and optimisation across search engines, LLMs and emerging platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Own One NZ’s digital visibility strategy across search, AI-powered discovery and emerging digital ecosystems
- Establish governance and best practices to improve how One NZ is found, interpreted, cited, retrieved and recommended across search engines, LLMs and AI-driven experiences
- Define and prioritise content, technical, metadata, authority and information architecture improvements
- Lead understanding of the evolving discovery landscape and translate changes in search behaviour, AI technologies and retrieval models into strategic direction and business opportunities
- Partner with content, digital, product and marketing teams to embed digital visibility requirements into planning, design, development and publishing processes
- Monitor visibility performance, AI representation, search behaviour and emerging trends, turning insights into optimisation roadmaps and investment priorities
- Champion digital discoverability through capability building, governance, measurement practices and identification of new technologies and opportunities
Requirements:
- Experience in SEO, GEO, AI search, LLMs or emerging digital discovery ecosystems
- Strong understanding of content strategy, information architecture, structured data and technical optimisation for discoverability
- Experience improving entity authority, knowledge signals and AI retrieval performance
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and embed discoverability into digital, content and product delivery
- Strong analytical skills, with experience measuring visibility, AI representation and discoverability outcomes
- A strategic mindset with curiosity, energy for change and a proactive approach to emerging technologies
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, solving complex problems and building new capability through practical outcomes
