Job Description

Marketing executive scaling OpsMill’s open-source infrastructure data management platform. Building GTM, demand generation, community, and product marketing for technical enterprise audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end marketing strategy supporting the GTM motion, aligning marketing with product roadmap and business goals
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, and Developer Relations
  • Ensure marketing drives measurable pipeline and revenue
  • Define and evolve brand positioning and messaging for infrastructure engineers, network operators, VPs of Infrastructure, and CTOs
  • Build and execute demand-generation programs across content marketing, SEO/SEM, email, paid channels, and partner marketing
  • Scale developer and community marketing programs to engage open-source contributors and grow community adoption
  • Partner with Developer Relations on events, webinars, content partnerships, and community-led advocacy
  • Lead product marketing, including narratives, launch strategies, and Sales enablement assets
  • Build and scale the marketing organization by hiring talent, establishing team structure, mentoring, and creating a high-performance culture
  • Manage the marketing budget across staffing, tooling, agencies, branding, and programs
  • Report to the COO and partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive market expansion and revenue growth

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a marketing leader at VP/CMO level in high-growth DevOps, infrastructure SaaS, or platform engineering companies
  • Deep understanding of developer-led and product-led growth motions, ideally in a commercial open-source environment
  • Experience building and executing GTM strategies for technical products targeting mid-market and enterprise customers
  • Experience building and nurturing technical communities through CNCF, open-source ecosystems, or developer platforms
  • Exceptional storytelling ability translating complex technical concepts into compelling narratives
  • Strong budget management experience across teams, tools, and programs
  • Hands-on, data-driven operating style with scalable systems, processes, measurement, and optimization
  • Executive leadership and communication skills, including board presentations and external representation
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Nice-to-haves include a technical background in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering; experience scaling from product-market fit to Series B and beyond; open-source contribution or open governance familiarity; networking, infrastructure automation, or NetDevOps experience; and building marketing teams from scratch or through transformation
