Job Description
National Key Account Manager winning specifications and sales for VELUX Commercial’s commercial daylight and ventilation solutions. Managing Tier 1 contractor relationships and project opportunities across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage influencers, endorsers, promoters, key decision makers and specifications with existing main contractors
- Develop new Tier 1 contractor business nationally
- Secure project specifications and sales opportunities through commercial relationships and project tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with architects/specifiers, Tier 1 and regional contractors, quantity surveyors, cost consultants, subcontractors and industry bodies
- Use influencing and closing techniques to secure specifications and maximise sales opportunities
- Raise awareness of the VELUX Commercial product portfolio through company presentations and CPDs
- Maintain CRM records and customer data, focusing on pipeline development, opportunity tracking and win rates
- Conduct site visits and surveys where required, including working at heights
- Strengthen VELUX Commercial’s position in the commercial market
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver company objectives, targets and strategic goals
- Monitor market potential and share sales leads and opportunities with colleagues
Requirements:
- Strong technical and commercial background with technical product knowledge
- Proven track record working with Tier 1 and large main contractors
- Direct experience in project sales and managing the sales process end to end
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/construction drawings and plans
- Experience presenting solutions and delivering CPDs to customers
- Strong networking, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build professional relationships at all levels
- Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation skills
- Strong customer service focus and collaborative team-player approach
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Glenigan or similar platforms
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable: experience using a CRM system
- Desirable: knowledge of current building regulations
- Desirable: experience in roof construction, facades and glazing
- Desirable: experienced negotiator
- Ability to conduct site visits and surveys, including working at heights
